Learn how to make Chandelier Quilt With Chain

A super easy quilt that everyone can make!

This pretty design starts and finishes with fresh, simple blocks using precuts or cutting your own charms from scraps or yardage. A background in white plays up the beautiful blocks in this quilt. Or you could opt for any color for the background to enhance the dangling blocks.

1. To make one block

Step 1:

Gather the following:

  • 1 square 5" x 5"
  • 2 squares 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" 
  • 2 cream rectangles 2 1/2" x 5"
  • 2 cream rectangles 2 1/2" x 7"

Step 2:

Sew 2 cream rectangles 2 1/2" x 5" to the side of 1 square 5" x 5"

Step 3:

Sew 1 cream rectangle 2 1/2" x 7" to 1 square 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" 

Step 4:

Arrange the units from steps 2 and 3 into rows, as shown. Sew together the rows and press.

2. Repeat Step 1-4, using each matching print pair to make 41 blocks

3. Put it together

Arrange the Seven-Patches, side triangles, and corner triangles on point, as shown. Sew the blocks into row and press.

Sew together the rows and press.

4. Finish

Baste, quilt, and bind using your preferred method.
